Yarragon Football Netball Club (YFNC) competes in the Ellinbank & District Football Netball League.
In the 2026 season the Club will field football teams in Seniors, Reserves, 18s and 16s, and netball teams in A, B, C, 17U, 15U,13U & 11U. Yarragon Junior Football Club operates separately and provides our player with foundation skills through U10, U12 and U14.
The Club was established in 1895 and has only recently moved from the Mid Gippsland Football League in which they had participated since 1977. The Club’s home ground is located within Dowton Park Reserve at 61 Market Street, Yarragon in Baw Baw Shire and located in the West Gippsland region of Victoria.
During the 2025 Season Dowton Park Reserve Social Rooms received a multi million dollar upgrade with new rooms including new changerooms, umpire facilities, first aid and offices. The oval is already one of the best in the region and Netball facilities are also of a high standard.
Yarragon is located between Warragul and Trafalgar and is one of only two towns not bypassed by the Princes Highway between Melbourne and the Latrobe Valley. Sport is an integral part of life in Yarragon with many generations supporting home games.
Yarragon Football Netball Club prides itself on providing an inclusive, friendly, safe and supportive environment for players and volunteers and it's strong connection with the local community.
